Now, I’m running for the Maryland House of Delegates to take that same commitment to Annapolis—fighting every day for real safety, fair opportunities, and a stronger future for our neighborhoods. A wife, mother, and first-generation Italian-American whose career has spanned small businesses and large corporations, Joan never planned to run for office. Then the Sandy Hook and Parkland school shootings happened, and she felt compelled to get involved. She joined Anne Arundel County Moms Demand Action and learned that real change comes from showing up, not waiting for permission. Joan believes that real progress does not happen by accident.
Communities become safer, fairer, and stronger because ordinary people decide the future is worth fighting for. She’s running because District 31 families deserve a representative who listens, solves problems, and delivers results. Joan believes government should work as hard as the people it serves. That’s why Joan has stepped forward. Now she is asking District 31 to move forward with her because she knows when we work together -
